Prerequisite: Recommended that students have completed Social Studies 10 with 60% or exceeded expectations.

Course Overview

  • exploration of the complex idea of nationalism in Canadian and international contexts.
  • analysis of the origins of nationalism and the influence of nationalism on regional, international and global relations.
  • infusion of multiple perspectives allows students to develop understandings of nationalism and how nationalism contributes to the citizenship and identities of peoples in Canada.
