A Traditional Home Education grade 1 – 9 program consists of an educational program that is designed, delivered and evaluated by the parent with supervision and support from our Home Education Coordinator.
The student’s program must align with the Alberta Education Program of Studies. The program is customized to meet the needs and learning style of the student.
Families first meet with the home education facilitator at the beginning of the school year in order to develop a comprehensive plan. They meet twice during the school year in order to review the progress that the child is making. A report is written and shared with the parents after each review.
Supplemental funding is available to parents who register prior to September 30 of the current school year. This funding is provided to enhance and support the specific learning needs of students in a home based learning environment.
