Coleman Massey
I am one of two teachers facilitating the Building Futures program in Airdrie. My area of focus is in the Humanities for both grade 10s and 11s in our program. Furthermore, along with my partner teacher, I work to design and implement programming within the CTS framework, PE, and the CALM curriculum.
Building Futures is a unique opportunity wherein grade 10 and 11 students in Rocky View get to work elbow-to-elbow with tradespeople and a local home builder on a residential construction site in partnership with our community builder - McKee Homes. Our classroom is a garage on the build site and when students aren't working with the trades they are receiving their grade 10 and/or grade 11 courses in our unique and alternative setting.
